Hey Stephanie!,

I am the marketing manager for Garces and Grabler. I was wondering if we can post outbound links on our website to your website. I like the content you provide here.

Where do you practice law?

Thanks for the site and your time!

This is a useful infomation. I never thought it is that easy to seek legal action or complaint against unscropulous employers who wrongfully denied one's employment.

Great insight, Stephanie. And those links are very resourceful. Many people don't know how much rights they have in a situation like this; they just let it slide. I like the fact that Government gives affected employees opportunity to use EEOC before hiring an attorney. But the "statute of limitation" has to be considered. 180 days should be enough to find a new job before the legal proceeding. Thanks for the info.

Stephanie,

I don’t concur with your take on domain dealers. It’s absolutely legitimate biz as long as you are not cybersquatting or infringing on trademarked names. Perhaps you need more enlightenment on how domain industry works. It seems this is not your area of the specialization though. I think you can learn one or two things from some smart-entrepreneurs who are building legitimate internet real estates. Check out www.Domaining.com , you’d see blogs of many guys who breathe and live buying and flipping domains.

Dear Stephanie,

Unless things have changed recently, I believe their is a waiver on the back of event tickets clearing anyone of fault. Spectators could also get hit in the head by a foul ball. and I wonder if that happened to anyone who sued the batter for not being better?

When I was a child I remember being at Shea Stadium (1964-2008)and a better hit a foul ball into the stands and knocked a guy's hat off who was sitting a couple rows behind me. He simply picked up his hat and placed it back on his head. I wonder if he thought of suing? Probably not.

At the 1982 Indy 500a car broke a partand a wheelflew intothe standsstriking a man on the head and killing him. Did his family have a c
ase? In the 1996 Daytona 500 the hood of a car flew into the stands and broke the arm of an unexpected spectator. Did he have a case as well?

All these people enter at their own risk but you make an extremely valid point that anyone can sue for anything and it's up to the legal system to determine its validity.

I think the real question is if a spectator got struck by flying debris from a broken bat would the team offer any financial resolution to make things better? Probably.

Many thanks Stephanie for your blog. I love it!

John N - This is one of those situations where the law is on your side, but yet it still manages to place you amongst the dreck of society. Domain buying and real estate share a very weak common denominator at best--that of buying and selling. It is completely misguided to purport that registering domain names for the sake of holding people hostage in the future is anything like buying property as an investment opportunity.
How often to people sit down and decide the exact house they want and then go look for it? They don't. They pick an area and begin looking. With domain names, it's just the opposite. You come up with a name and then you go searching for it only to find someone else has it--not to use it, to sell it.
If you want to defend such practices, go right ahead, but just know that while the law may be on your side, karma is not.

My daughter hates the fact that her school is so in an uproar over her short skirts! I was a cheerleader in 1985-1989 and we only had french cut, body suits under our short skirts! She was sent home because her skirt was too short. She wears regular athletic shorts under he skirt. You can't see anything. Anyone that lived in Texas or Florida back in the 8o's knows how much more short and revealing our bodies were compared to now. Teachers need to lighten up and stop being like nuns.
